Francesco Molinari went 6-under over a five-hole stretch on the back nine (Nos. 10-14) during the final round en route to an eight-shot victory at the Quicken Loans National.
The torrid stretch was keyed by a hot putter and strong iron play. Molinari opened the back nine with an eagle from 48 feet using a Bettinardi DASS BBZero putter he inserted at THE PLAYERS Championship. Molinari, who signed a putter deal with Bettinardi at the beginning of the year, switched to a heavier head weight with a sight dot on the Anser-style blade.
Molinari also led the field in Strokes gained: Approach-the-green (plus-9.869) using a set of TaylorMade P-750 irons. During the 6-under stretch, Molinari hit approach shots from 197 and 163 yards to 20 inches and 6 feet, 11 inches on Nos. 11 and 12 to set up birdies that extended his lead.
Here's a look at Molinari's entire equipment setup.
